At Mastertone we strive to provide the best value per dollar recording experience in the bay area, so we offer flexible hourly, day, and flat-project rates tailored to your goals.
When you book a day rate, you get 8 hours of recording time. (plus an hour for load-in/out) This includes Tony as an engineer, producer, assistant or whatever else the session calls for.
Project-based rates are available and vary depending on the scope of the work. Once the details of the project are discussed and a fair rate is agreed upon, Tony is committed to seeing it through to the finish line—whether that involves tracking, mixing, or mastering—without counting hours or days..

Analog Tape Option.
$150 for 1 reel (34 min recording time)
For clients who wish to record to tape, I offer the option to split the $150 cost of the reel. Under this arrangement, the tape remains with the studio for reuse once the project is complete.
*tape cost is added to session/ project rates for those who choose this option.
